“My Groups” section and Notice Board tutorial

Here is a brief tutorial for you to learn all you need in order to use the “My Groups” section of your ISOTIS account and the Notice Board tool you’ll find in it.

1:

Let's click the white striped button in the upper left corner of the page (marked with 1. in the picture)

2:

A sidebar column will appear on the left side of the screen. Let's click:

  1. "My space", then
  2. "My groups", then
  3. "Demo class", then
  4.  "Notice board".

The "My groups section lists all groups you partake in, either as a member or an administrator.

Each group has its own "Notice board".

Notice board is a tool that does exactly what its name says. It is a page that shows announcements, info, news, updates, and any kind of communication the group's administrator needs to inform group members about.

3:

Contents are presented in chronological order, with the most recent (last posted) one on top of the list. Just scroll down to search/read previous posts.

You can interact with each content posted in the Notice Board.

The actions you can do are grouped on the right side of the page, as orange coloured, active links.

You may have access to certain types of actions, depending on whether you access the Notice Board as an administrator, or simply as a member.

All participants - administrators and members - will be able to use the "Permalink" and the "Discuss this topic" actions. The "Permalink" gives you a permanent link to the post, which you can copy and paste in any document you need.

The "Discuss this topic" button lets you read and scroll the discussion in a new page, and add any comment to any content.

Administrators will be able to use the "Edit" or the "Delete" commands, which let them modify the content of a notice, or erase it at all.

For example, let's click on a "Discuss this topic" command. A new page opens, showing you the possibility, among others, to "Reply" or - with the "Show parent" - to see the content which the comment you are reading is referred to.
